ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates who wish to pursue law as a career can either take three-year LL.B course
after graduation in any discipline or five year B.A.,LL.B course after 10+2. Eligibility
is based on marks obtained in graduation or 10+2 and in entrance exams.

CAREER PROSPECTS:
There is a wide range of career oppotunities available to legal professionals in
India.
A lawyer can do any one of the following:
1. Start practising in courts.
2. Join a law firm which may specialize either in litigation or chamber work or
both.
3. Join an industry as a law officer.
4. Join the Advocate General's office or law cadre of defence services.
5. Join public or banking sectors where law graduates are recruited as trainees
or probationary law officers
6. Join the State Judicial Service. The officers are recruited through a competitive
examination. The selected candidates are appointed as Sub- Judges or Munsifs or
Chief Judicial Magistrates in law courts.
7. Work as freelance journalists in publishing house.
