Active fengshui - Bed Positions

For any one the most comfortable place to be in is the bed room. After a long days work or a hectic day one would always seek the comfort of the bed. But the desired comfort may not be achieved due to certain reasons. Lets take some time to check if our bedroom is intact for a comfortable atmosphere. After all, we spend a third of our lifetime in our bedroom.

Disregarding factors such as the shape of the room and the color of the room, here are some bed positions you should avoid:

Unfavorable bed placement

  1. 1. The foot of your bed should not face the door. Energy’s flow will disrupt your sleep.
  2. 2. For the same reason, your bed should not be placed on the same wall as the door.
  3. 3. Your bed should not be positioned under a window. The elements will prevent a peaceful rest.
  4. 4. Your bed should not be positioned between a doorway and window, or a combination thereof. The wind tunnel will cause a disturbance.
  5. 5. Your bed should not be placed on an angle. Having the solid support of the black turtle will make you feel more secure, preventing the boogeyman from lurking in the black crevices.
  6. 6. You should not sleep under ceiling beams. The beams cause Energy to create a ripple effect, the downward pressure impacting not only your sleep but also your health.

So, where is the ideal place to position your bed?

Referring to the following illustrations, the bed should be placed on an unobstructed wall diagonally across from the door, as far enough away from the window such that you aren’t bothered by the direct hit of incoming Energy. Also, the bed should be accessible from both sides.

Active Pets

Considered one of the best of the Indian Hounds , Finding a Rajapalayam in common households is a rare sight.

This breed looks like a miniature Great Dane, with its powerful, muscular, and heavy build. It is a typical boar hound which was used for hunting wild boar and hare. With white fur and pink skin, t has a deep chest. The hair is soft on the head but coarse on the body. The males may be about 65cms tall and about 25 kgs in weight. The skin is loose all over the body and the eyes are dark and usually deep brown. The jaws are long fine and powerful. It has a scissor bite.

The dog needs plenty of freedom and space. Properly trained they make excellent guard dogs. Though these are of the hound category, they make excellent pets at home .

The Rajapalayam was used predominantly for hunting wild boar and as a formidable guard dog. It needs wide open spaces and is very affectionate and devoted towards its owner, although not always demonstrative. It does not like to be touched or handled by strangers, and tends to be a one-man or one-family dog.

While its own origins remain unknown, it is speculated by some that the Rajapalayam may have been one of the dogs used in the breeding of the modern Dalmatian. .The Poligars used this Rajapalayam dog breed during the Carnatic wars to fight the British. The dogs were trained to bite the hamstring of horses and disable them, and played havoc with the British cavalry.

A Rajapalayam is very intelligent. It instinctively senses who is welcome and who is not. It admirably differentiates between outsiders who are close to the family and those who are not and treats them accordingly

So if you are a dog lover and have a lawn and lot of space in your compound , its time to get a Rajapalayam hound,But ensure that your compound wall is high enough , least you don’t want to run on the streets!
